Description

Samento 60ml - Nutramedix

Samento 60ml Nutramedix - Advanced Immune System Support

We all need a little balance! Samento is recognized for promoting a balanced immune system. Although Samento is often known as Cat's Claw, the NutraMedix Samento liquid supplement does not contain the tetracyclic oxindole alkaloids (TOAs) found in other traditional Cat's Claw health supplements. In short, our Samento liquid supplement formula is great for immune system supportᵻ.

Within the same plant species, different chemotypes can occur. Cat's Claw most commonly contains Pentacyclic Oxindole Alkaloids (POAs) and Tetracyclic Oxindole Alkaloids (TOAs). Several studies published in peer-reviewed journals suggest that the preferred chemotype contains only POAs, which are often recognized as supporting the immune system, promoting a balanced immune system. Learn more about Samento synergy.

In 2000, NutraMedix introduced Samento, a rare Cat's Claw chemotype that does not contain TOAs and contains only POAs.

Key Benefits:

  • Immune System Support - U. tomentosa (pentacyclic chemotype) may help support immune system homeostasis.* Research suggests that POAs help maintain levels of lymphocyte proliferation regulatory factors already within normal range, CD4+CD25+Foxp3+ levels already within normal range, and Th2 levels already within normal range. It should be noted that TOAs inhibit the effect of POAs on the lymphocyte proliferation regulatory factor in a dose-dependent manner, therefore, TOA-free U. tomentosa is necessary for proper immune support. The POA-specific mitraphylline may help support healthy neutrophil function and maintain Th1, Th2, and Th17 levels already within normal range. Mitraphylline may also help support healthy apoptosis.
  • Anti-Inflammatory Support - U. tomentosa (pentacyclic chemotype) may help maintain and support a healthy inflammatory response. U. tomentosa may help maintain NF-kappaB levels already within normal range in a dose-dependent manner, thereby supporting both TNF-alpha and IL-1-beta already within normal range. U. tomentosa and its most prevalent POA alkaloid, mitraphylline, may help maintain IL-1-alpha, IL-2, IL-4, IL-6, IL-8, and IL-17 levels already within normal range, as well as support the healthy functioning of the MAP kinase pathway.
  • Cardiovascular Support - U. tomentosa may help maintain blood pressure already within normal range, attributed to the constituent hirsutine.*19
  • Neurological Support - U. tomentosa may help support neurological health and help maintain healthy neurocognitive function, potentially due to the POA mitraphylline.
  • Metabolic and Glucose Support - U. tomentosa may help maintain healthy insulin levels and maintain blood glucose levels already within normal range.
  • Antioxidant Support - U. tomentosa may provide antioxidant support, helping to maintain oxidative stress levels already within normal range, attributed to the constituent monomers flavan-3-ol, alkaloids, and polyphenols.
  • Microbial Support - U. tomentosa may help with a wide range of microbial support.

  • Warnings
    U. tomentosa (bark) is generally well tolerated. Gastrointestinal effects such as nausea, vomiting, constipation, or diarrhea have been reported.28 It should be avoided in people taking immunosuppressants, as it may interfere with immunosuppressive therapy.29 U. tomentosa may inhibit the P450 enzyme CYP3A4 and, therefore, may slow drug metabolism. metabolized by CYP3A4.30 U. tomentosa may have additive effects with anticoagulants, generally attributed to the TOAs rhynchophylline and isorhynchophylline,31 as well as additive effects with antihypertensive medications, generally attributed to the TOAs rhynchophylline and isorhynchophylline.32,33 As a reminder, Samento does not contain TOA, with trace or undetectable levels.
Safety not documented in breastfeeding or pregnant women, or in children under 3 years of age due to insufficient safety research.
