A market leader in omega-3s, Nordic Naturals' story begins in Arctic Norway, where Nordic Naturals founder and CEO Joar Opheim grew up. When Joar came to California, he realized that the omega-rich cod liver oil that Norwegians relied on for health was unavailable. Nordic Naturals set out to develop a manufacturing process that met this goal, starting with pure, fresh fish oil products high in omega-3s. All Nordic Naturals fish oil products are extracted using the triglyceride molecular formula—the form found naturally in fish and the form our bodies most readily absorb.
