So-called "oil pulling" has its origins in Ayurvedic medicine and has traditionally been part of daily oral hygiene in Far Eastern cultures.

The oil is pulled through the interdental spaces and the oral cavity is thoroughly rinsed for about 10 minutes before the oil is spat out. According to Ayurvedic teachings, oil pulling helps to bind impurities, which can help prevent bleeding gums, tooth decay, and periodontitis.

It is recommended to use the product as a cure over a longer period (at least 4 to 6 weeks) or daily as part of the oral hygiene ritual. In this way, daily mouth and tooth care is effectively complemented and improved.
