Organic Evening Primrose oil helps retain moisture. It is a light oil rich in linoleic acid and omega-linoleic acid, and is therefore particularly gentle and soothing to the skin. Levulinic acid (from cellulose) conditions and softens the skin. It is a renewable, bio-based acid that helps condition and soften the skin, derived from the oxidation of simple sugars (glucose or fructose), most commonly from cellulose derived from corn. Levulinic acid acts as a mild preservative with good antibacterial properties.
