Petit CN Base is a balanced supplement of the 23 most important micronutrients for optimal development, together with fructooligosaccharides (FOS) and S. boulardii.
It is especially important to maintain balanced micronutrient levels during pregnancy, breastfeeding, and as children grow (especially during cold and flu season).
Pregnancy and breastfeeding: During the nine months of pregnancy and breastfeeding, there is a greater need for nutrients. Supplemental intake of L-methylfolate (folate) increases maternal folate levels, helping to reduce the risk of neural tube defects such as spina bifida. The beneficial effect is obtained with a daily folic acid intake of 400 µg, at least one month before conception and up to three months after.
In children and adolescents (ages 3 to 17): During this period of growth, children should have a balanced intake of all nutrients and micronutrients. Calcium, iodine, iron, and vitamin D3 are vital.
