Normolip 5 by ESI is a dietary supplement for cholesterol control based on red yeast rice monacolins (which includes monacolin K), Caigua extract, Gamma Oryzanol, Coenzyme Q10, Policosanol and Chromium.

Free from animal components. Made from red yeast rice (contains natural HMG-CoA reductase inhibitors, which inhibit the enzymatic reaction necessary for cholesterol production in the body).

- Gamma-Oryzanol (Red Rice)
Action: Hypocholesterolemic and hypotriglyceridemiant.
Effect: A specific component of rice bran oil, the administration of which has been shown to influence plasma total cholesterol and LDL cholesterol concentrations. It has also been shown to have beneficial effects on physiological plasma triglyceride levels.

- Chrome
Action: Participates in insulin synthesis and controls cholesterol levels.
Effect: Regulates blood glucose.

- Phytosterols
Action: Hypocholesterolemizing.
Effect: Phytosterol, whose structure is similar to cholesterol, competes with the intestinal lining, limiting the absorption of exogenous cholesterol. Incorporating phytosterols into the diet can help regulate cholesterol levels.
