Description

GL Glucose 60caps - Eubage

GL Glucose by Eubage is a dietary supplement that participates in the conversion of sugars and the regulation of glucose levels.

Blood glucose levels are regulated by insulin. Inadequate, and often insufficient, production of this hormone triggers diabetes:

Type 1 Diabetes, or insulin-dependent, is characterized by the absence of insulin production (usually occurs before the age of 20), this is the least common type of diabetes.

Type 2 diabetes, or non-insulin-dependent diabetes, is characterized by decreased insulin production and/or decreased sensitivity to it (usually appearing after age 50). The direct effects of diabetes include increased cardiovascular risk, retinopathies, cataracts, and neuropathy, resulting from the glycolysis of proteins by excess glucose and a marked deficiency of antioxidant substances. Hypoglycemic medications can be classified into three groups:

- Direct insulinomimetics, which activate insulin receptors.

- α-glucosidase inhibitors and aldose-reductase inhibitors that act directly on glucose metabolism.

- Indirect insulinomimetics:
- Hypoglycemic sulfa drugs increase insulin release.
- Metformin enhances the effect of insulin.

Gymnenic acid from Gymnema (Gymnema sylvestris) is hypoglycemic, that is, it significantly reduces blood glucose (it has antidiabetic activity comparable to that of hypoglycemic sulfonamides).

It competes with glucose at the glucose receptors in the intestinal wall. It regulates insulin secretion by stimulating the function of the islets of Langerhans.

Increases urine output and improves blood circulation. Reduces glycogen synthesis by the liver. Stimulates insulin production by beta cells in the pancreas.

Alpha-lipoic acid stimulates glucose transporters. It increases the sensitivity of paracrine receptors and their endocrine role in adipocytes. It is involved in the conversion of sugars and fats into energy. It reduces hepatic glucose production and carbohydrate absorption.

The 4-hydroxyisoleucine found in fenugreek (Trigonelia foenum-graecum) has a strong insulin-stimulating effect that does not directly affect ATP-dependent potassium channels in pancreatic beta cells (e.g., hypoglycemic sulfonamides). It helps reduce triglycerides, contributing to optimal glucose levels. It is a recognized therapeutic agent in the treatment of obesity and diabetes. It reduces postprandial blood glucose levels by regulating blood insulin concentrations.

Natural Vitamin E (DL-α-Tocopheryl Acetate) reduces oxidative stress and significantly prevents the risk of organ damage. It increases insulin sensitivity and helps balance blood glucose levels.

Chromium, the main constituent of GTF (Glucose Tolerance Factor), is an essential trace element for the body's carbohydrate metabolism. GTF works synergistically with insulin to maintain a delicate blood glucose balance. This synergy reduces insulin consumption.
