When alliin comes into contact with the enzyme alliinase, the active substance allicin is formed, which gives garlic its characteristic odor. This process begins as soon as you cut, crush, or bite into a fresh clove of garlic.

BioActive Garlic tablets from Pharma Nord are film-coated, preventing them from dissolving in the stomach. Only when it reaches the intestine does the tablet dissolve completely, the alliinase is activated, and it converts alliin into allicin. Another benefit is the fact that the garlic odor is no longer exhaled through the mouth.

Furthermore, the slow dissolution of the tablet means that the alliin and alliinase do not break down or become inactive in the stomach.

Concentration
Taking 2-3 BioActive Garlic tablets from Pharma Nord per day is equivalent to ½-1 clove of garlic or 1.8-2.7 g of fresh garlic.
