Description

Annatto-E® Synergy 60sft - Designs for Health

An exclusive product, tocopherol-free and composed only of tocotrienols, containing 125 mg of tocotrienols and 1 g of black cumin seed oil (Nigella sativa) per serving of 2 softgels.

Annatto seed is the richest source of tocotrienols.

Many common foods in the West contain vitamin E, such as wheat, rice, oats, and corn. However, annatto seed is the richest known source of natural tocotrienols. Annatto is a tree native to Latin America. Annatto seeds are free of tocopherols and contain only tocotrienols in the forms of delta- and gamma-tocotrienols.*

The History of Vitamin E

Annatto-E™ Synergy from Designs for Health is a unique product, free of tocopherols and composed only of tocotrienols, containing 125 mg of tocotrienols and 1 g of black cumin seed oil (Nigella sativa) per serving of two softgels.

Vitamin E is not a single nutrient, but rather a complex formed by 8 distinct compounds: 4 tocopherols and 4 tocotrienols. These components have slightly different chemical structures, which gives them unique properties that influence their biochemical functions and their effects on the body.

Most conventional supplements are rich in tocopherols — especially alpha-tocopherol —, but the tocotrienol fractions have specific effects on various body tissues, making their isolated supplementation, without tocopherols, desirable.

Rich sources of vitamin E include whole grains, such as wheat (especially the germ), rice, barley, oats, some green leafy vegetables, and palm fruit. However, most of these foods contain more tocopherols than tocotrienols. The richest natural source of tocotrienols is annatto (Bixa orellana), derived from the seeds of a tree native to Latin America. Annatto is practically free of tocopherols and contains almost 100% tocotrienols, all in their most potent forms. The tocotrienols in this product are obtained from annatto, and are therefore exclusively tocotrienols.

Benefits of Tocotrienols

Tocotrienols have shown remarkable effects in supporting cardiovascular health, especially in helping to maintain healthy cholesterol and triglyceride levels.*
They may also contribute to a balanced inflammatory response. Thanks to their positive effects on blood vessel function, tocotrienols help maintain healthy blood pressure.

Due to their beneficial influence on lipids (blood fats), tocotrienols may be useful for people with fat accumulation in the liver, as well as for those who need support in regulating blood sugar and insulin levels.*

Perhaps the best-known role of the vitamin E complex is as an antioxidant. Tocotrienols are more potent in protecting cells against damage caused by free radicals.
Their powerful antioxidant action has been demonstrated in studies on skin and eye health, where oxidative stress can lead to premature skin aging and a decrease in visual acuity.

Black Cumin Seed Oil

Nigella sativa seeds, known as black cumin, have been used for thousands of years in the Middle East and Western Asia as a spice, food preservative, and traditional remedy, with recognized benefits in several areas of health — including support for digestive function, maintenance of healthy blood pressure, and promotion of balanced skin.

The main active compound in black cumin seed oil, called thymoquinone (TQ), has antioxidant properties, supports an appropriate inflammatory response, promotes immune system function, and contributes to liver and kidney health.

Furthermore, both black cumin oil and tocotrienols have been shown to support the maintenance of healthy bones.

Package contains 60 softgels.
