  • Warnings
    Lomatium rash is a rare but irritating proliferation of raised, non-itchy, or painful red patches that usually appears on the trunk and sometimes lasts up to three weeks after stopping the herb. It is not immune-mediated, so it does not respond to antihistamines or immune suppression, such as prednisone. The rash usually occurs only once and does not recur when lomatium is restarted. When patients slowly increase the dose, the rash is minimized. Crypto-Plus™ is formulated to reduce the potential for rash. Lomatium dissectum contains coumarin derivatives, which may increase the risk of bleeding when taken with medications that increase the risk of bleeding.

    Do not use during pregnancy or breastfeeding.
  • Dosage and administration
    As with any new nutritional supplement, patients should start slowly. For best results, remove from meals and add to 1-3 ounces of water. If the patient experiences nausea, ask the patient to dose the product 15-30 minutes after a light carbohydrate snack.
    INITIAL ADULT DOSE
    Days 1-3

    Days 4 and beyond

    FULL ADULT DOSE
    It would take 10 to 14 days to reach the full dose of 40 drops in the morning and at night.
    Another dosing strategy used by many physicians is to have patients work up to a double dose (80 - 90 drops twice per day).
    SENSITIVE PATIENTS
    Start with the detoxification protocol mentioned above.
    Start with 1 drop in 1-3 ounces of water once per day and increase the dose slowly as your body is able to do so.
    Because everyone's body responds uniquely to any nutraceutical/pharmaceutical product, it is important to follow the dosage recommendations of your healthcare professional.
    Suggested Detoxification Protocol: As with other immune support protocols, physicians open detoxification pathways and provide binders to move toxins out of the body. Many physicians incorporate Tri-Fortify® liposomal glutathione (1 teaspoon per day) for at least three days prior to starting and during microbial treatment.
