Description

Pau D'Arco Bark (Handroanthus Serratifolius) 50g - Teas of the World

Pau D'Arco Tea
Pau d'Arco, Lapacho, Yellow Ipê, or Yellow Pau d'Arco is a tropical tree species with medicinal properties. Pau d'Arco tea is widely used by people experiencing discomfort during chemotherapy. This powerful tea provides natural relief from the intensity of symptoms.

Aroma: Pleasant
Flavor: Lightly sweet.

Curiosities:

Pau d'Arco is extracted directly from the bark of the "Tabebuia" tree, a tree common in tropical countries such as Brazil, Mexico, and Argentina. For many years, Pau d'Arco has been part of the culture of indigenous tribes, especially the Incas. According to them, this plant helped treat intestinal problems, fever, and even snake bites. Pau d'Arco is a tropical plant of the Bignomiaceae family, native to mountainous soils. In addition to being used as a natural medicine, the indigenous people used the bark of this tree to make bows. Pau d'Arco was so culturally significant that it even served as a source of inspiration for the Brazilian poet Patativa do Assaré.

Benefits:

Pau d'Arco tea is generally used to treat anemia, urinary tract infections, fungal infections, and dysentery. Its powerful contribution to anemia is due to its blood-purifying properties, which stimulate red blood cell production. By contributing to healthy blood flow, Pau d'Arco simultaneously strengthens the immune system. This effect can be seen when drinking Pau d'Arco tea to relieve flu symptoms or respiratory infections.
The consumption of Pau D'Arco Tea can be used to treat the following cases: diabetes, tonsillitis, candidiasis, hypertension, leukemia, gastric ulcer, prostate infection and insect bites.
