Methyl B Complex 60comp - Lamberts
Lamberts® Methyl B Complex is a dietary supplement that combines B vitamins with choline and inositol. B vitamins function as cofactors for all bodily processes and are closely linked to proper metabolic function. They act synergistically, meaning that insufficient or excessive intake of one vitamin can lead to deficiencies in the other vitamins or prevent their utilization.
Thiamine (vitamin B1) promotes the production of energy from carbohydrates. It also plays an important role in the proper functioning of the nervous system (conduction of nerve signals), muscle contractions, and the production of the neurotransmitter acetylcholine. A deficiency causes weakness and cramps, cardiovascular palpitations and cardiac hypertrophy, and central nervous system problems (irritability, mental fatigue, lack of concentration, emotional instability, and depression).
Riboflavin (vitamin B2) is involved in obtaining energy from carbohydrates, proteins, and fats. It participates in the formation of red blood cells, stimulates the immune system, improves eye diseases (cataracts, glaucoma, and eyestrain), maintains healthy hair, skin, and nails, slows aging, promotes liver detoxification, maintains healthy reproductive function, and enhances athletic performance.
Niacin (vitamin B3) is involved in numerous metabolic and enzymatic reactions essential for obtaining energy from macronutrients. It is involved in the metabolism of fatty acids, eliminates toxic chemicals from the body, and participates in the synthesis of steroid hormones.
Biotin participates in the metabolism of carbohydrates and proteins for energy. It also participates in the production of prostaglandins (anti-inflammatory substances) from essential fatty acids. It helps in the normal growth and development of skin, hair, and nails.
Pantothenic acid is necessary to form Coenzyme Q10, which is essential for obtaining energy from food. It is important for the immune system, as it participates in the formation of antibodies, improves wound healing, and helps reduce tiredness and fatigue.
Folate acts as a coenzyme in several reactions related to nucleic acid synthesis, protein metabolism and synthesis (along with vitamins B6 and B12), and red blood cell production, DNA synthesis, and tissue growth. It also plays an important role in cardiovascular health by breaking down homocysteine, an amino acid that is a risk factor for cardiovascular disease and Alzheimer's disease. It prevents neural tube defects and, consequently, congenital malformations (spina bifida, anencephaly, and encephalopathy). The form of folic acid present in this dietary supplement is L-5-Methyltetrahydrofolate, the active form of folate, ready for use by the body, ensuring improved bioavailability. Supplementation with methyltetrahydrofolate is preferable to folic acid because it is immediately bioavailable.
Vitamin B12 is essential for protein metabolism, promoting anabolism (increased muscle mass), and supports recovery from muscle injuries. It participates in the formation of red blood cells and bone marrow, along with iron and folic acid. It also participates in the formation of nucleic acids. It contributes to the maintenance of the central nervous system and tissue repair. The form of vitamin B12 present is methylcobalamin, which, compared to other forms of vitamin B12, is better absorbed and retained in tissues. It is a specific form of vitamin B12 that strengthens the central nervous system, concentration, memory, and overall mental health. It acts as a cardiovascular protector by intervening in the methylation of homocysteine into methionine. It regulates the circadian rhythm and helps regulate cortisol levels.
Vitamin B6 is found in its metabolically active form, Pyridoxal-5-Phosphate Monohydrate, which plays a coenzyme role in multiple essential chemical reactions: it participates in the metabolism of proteins and glycogen, supports the synthesis of neurotransmitters modulating psychological functions, participates in the synthesis of hemoglobin, strengthens the functioning of the immune system, regulates hormonal activity, reduces tiredness and fatigue and helps form lecithin, with protective effects at the cerebral and cardiovascular levels.
Choline is the precursor molecule to the neurotransmitter acetylcholine and is involved in memory and muscle contraction. It is beneficial in the treatment of fatty liver disease, Alzheimer's disease, and bipolar disorder.
Inositol is a water-soluble substance associated with B vitamins. It intervenes in lipid metabolism in the liver, reduces blood cholesterol, modulates the activity of serotonin (responsible for brain alertness), and plays a crucial role in the growth of nerve tissue. This dietary supplement is recommended for people who have problems assimilating folic acid; for proper metabolic activity and energy production; for strengthening the nervous system (stress, anxiety, depression, memory loss, concentration, proper neurotransmitter formation, neuropathies); for protecting the cardiovascular system (intervenes in methionine metabolism and regulates excessive homocysteine levels); for strengthening hair, skin, and nails; fortifying the immune system in situations of physical and psychological stress; and for regulating cholesterol levels.
Packaging contains 60 tablets.
