Palmitoylethanolamide (PEA) is a fatty acid amide present throughout the body and produced endogenously in response to cellular injury as a protective response. It was first identified in egg yolk, soybean, and peanut oil in the 1950s and was later discovered to be present in mammals as well.
Each PEA capsule contains 600 mg of palmitoylethanolamide (PEA) extracted from safflower oil. It is then micronized to improve its absorption and bioavailability.
