Blueberry proanthocyanidins (PACs) are flavonoids that inhibit bacterial adhesion (especially of P-fimbriated Escherichia coli) to urothelial cells in the urinary tract walls. Quinic acid, an important organic acid found in blueberries, is metabolized into hippuric acid, which acidifies urine and controls bacterial growth.
Contains vitamin C that helps acidify urine, creating a hostile environment for bacteria and supporting the immune system. It comes in sustained-release tablets for better absorption and use.
Suitable for vegetarians. Gluten-free.
