Hawa Hepar is a scientifically designed formulation, demonstrating very positive results in liver protection, with a positive impact on sports performance, as well as in individuals who do not practice physical exercise. Although the formulation has a synergistic effect from its constituents that is greater than the sum of its parts, each of these ingredients has an individualized action well-supported by scientific experimentation.

Cochlospermum angolensis, known as borututu, contains hydroxybenzoic acids that have a high antioxidant effect with repercussions at the hepatocellular level, an effect verified in several species of Cochlospermum that show high hepatoprotection, particularly through the cytochrome P450 enzymatic cascade, in an animal model of hepatoprotection using carbon tetrachloride, a substance with high hepatotoxicity.

Its use in Portugal over the last 20 years and in Angola (for centuries) in phytotherapy/naturopathy confirms the results of scientific studies.
