B-Complex #12 offers a complete B vitamin complex, with added vitamin B-12 and folate. Supplementing with the active forms of B vitamins is extremely important for everyone, especially individuals who may not be able to convert inactive B vitamins to their active forms in the liver due to compromised liver function, poorly functioning enzymes, digestive disorders, or increasing age. Vitamin B12 and folate are necessary for normal red blood cell formation, tissue and cellular repair, normal methylation and homocysteine ​​metabolism, and DNA synthesis. B-Complex #12 provides the active form of vitamin B12—methylcobalamin—as well as the active form of folate—5-MTHF. The other bioactive forms of B vitamins in each capsule ensure you get the most bioavailable B vitamin complex available. *B-Complex #12 is not derived from yeast.

Most B vitamins, with the exception of vitamin B12, are not stored in the body; therefore, they must be obtained daily from the diet to maintain optimal health.

    INTERACTIONS/CONTRAINDICATIONS

    5-methyltetrahydrofolate (5-MTHF) supplementation is not recommended concomitantly with methotrexate cancer therapy because it may interfere with methotrexate's antineoplastic activity; however, this folate source has not been shown to interfere with methotrexate's anti-inflammatory activity. An individual taking methotrexate for psoriasis or rheumatoid arthritis can safely take a folate supplement.
