What is CLA?

CLA (Conjugated Linoleic Acid) is a polyunsaturated fatty acid found naturally in the meat of ruminants (cows, sheep, etc.) and dairy products derived from them. CLA is a natural part of our diet, developed on cattle pastures through a process where the linoleic acid in the grass is converted into CLA. One of the best sources of CLA is beef and dairy products such as milk, cheese, and yogurt. CLA is a GRAS (Generally Recognized as Safe) certified food additive.

What are free fatty acids?

In food, fat comes in the form of triglycerides, which need to be transformed into "free" fatty acids before the digestive system can absorb them. This process is only possible due to the action of a digestive enzyme called lipase. BioActivo CLA Forte contains conjugated linoleic acid, in the form of free fatty acids that have already been transformed and are ready for use. The advantage of this type of fatty acid is that it can be absorbed directly, even by people with reduced lipid absorption.
