Why do we age? And what are the hallmarks of longevity?
We age because our cells age.
Throughout history, different theories of aging have emerged: Free Radicals and Mitochondria were the first, and later others such as telomere shortening.
Senescence occurs after significant intracellular or extracellular stress stimuli. This stressful situation leads to a failure in maintaining homeostasis, self-repair, renewal, and the performance and fitness of various tissues throughout life. Cells then age, resulting in a permanent arrest of the cell cycle, restricting their lifespan.
The hallmarks or signs currently known as why we age are also the hallmarks that answer what we must do to be long-lasting. The 9 hallmarks of aging are:
- Mitochondrial dysfunction : Mitochondria are the cells' "ovens," where we oxidize (burn) nutrients. Their dysfunction uncontrollably affects oxidative stress, and oxidation accelerates aging.
- Stem cell depletion : Stem cells are necessary for the regeneration of bone, cartilage, skin or muscle tissue.
- Altered intercellular communication: changes in hormonal systems, inflammation, and the loss of blood-stimulating factors cause aging to go beyond a specific cell and become “infectious.”
- Genomic instability.
- Telomere attrition : Aging causes the ends of chromosomes to shorten.
- Epigenetic changes : lifestyle can impact the way we read our genes; a misinterpretation of our score leads to diseases.
- Loss of proteostasis : Our body's proteins are in a constant cycle of creation, deterioration, and elimination. When the system begins to fail, we age.
- Cellular senescence : In healthy tissue, when a cell deteriorates, programmed cell death (apoptosis) is activated to replace it with a new one. When this mechanism is altered, tissues accumulate aged, non-functional cells, and in the long term, the tissue/organ itself stops functioning properly.
- Dysregulation of the nutrient-sensing system : As we age, our bodies react worse to nutrients, producing resistance to insulin and other hormonal axes. Calorie restriction or its simulation with drugs has been shown to increase longevity. Hormone replacement therapy has also been shown to combat the effects of aging on target tissues.
- Dysbiosis .
MAIN ASSETS OF REVIVE CELULAR:
1. Fisetin: Fisetin is an antioxidant flavonoid that may have beneficial health effects. It apparently contributes to the reduction of cell senescence, a process associated with cellular aging.
2. Berberine - has been shown in numerous studies to have positive effects in controlling parameters related to metabolic syndrome. It may also have positive effects on cellular senescence and an anti-aging effect by preventing diseases related to cellular aging.
3. Trans-Resveratrol - Resveratrol, an antioxidant phytochemical known as the French paradox, has antioxidant properties, like all polyphenols. This can neutralize free radicals and reduce oxidative stress in cells.
4. Coenzyme Q10 (CoQ10) - also known as ubiquinone, is a vitamin-like substance found inside the mitochondria of every cell in the body. CoQ10 plays a key role in mitochondrial metabolism, specifically as part of the mitochondrial electron transport chain. It promotes the conversion of nutrients into ATP (energy molecules).
5. Green Tea - is rich in polyphenols, among which catechins stand out, the most abundant being epigallocatechin gallate (EGCG), with high antioxidant power.
6. Reishi - Contains a variety of active compounds, including polysaccharides and triterpenes, which have been studied for their potential health effects. It may help enhance natural immune defenses. Anti-aging effects may also be attributed to its antioxidant power. Recent studies suggest it may help combat oxidative stress through cell renewal.
7. Curcumin C3 REDUCT® - One of the main advantages of C3 Reduct is that these health benefits are concentrated and enhanced. In C3 Reduct, the curcuminoids are in the form of tetrahydrocurcuminoids (THC). This means the product is absorbed directly into the body as beneficial metabolites. This is important because the metabolites are more bioavailable than the original curcuminoids. C3 Reduct is the only EFSA-approved product of its kind on the market. This is because C3 Reduct delivers active metabolites directly to the body.
8. MGCPQQ® (PQQ): MGCPQQ® is the patented trademark of PQQ. PQQ, or pyrroloquinoline quinone, is a cofactor and natural compound found in some foods, such as tofu, parsley, and green tea. It's a molecule associated with various biological processes such as reproduction, growth, aging, and mitochondrial biogenesis. According to recent studies, it may help increase the number of mitochondria in cells.
